About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle to attract top-tier talent within the laser communications industry. This role involves coordinating daily recruitment activities, ensuring an engaging and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring managers, and maintaining high standards of candidate care and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all recruitment processes within the Applicant Tracking System, including creating and closing job listings, tracking candidate progress, and maintaining accurate records.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, facilitate recruitment activities, and ensure timely hiring.
- Review CVs to identify suitable candidates, conducting initial screening calls to evaluate experience, motivation, and fit.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding procedures to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Proactively source candidates through internal databases, professional networks, job boards, and external channels to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Monitor recruitment performance metrics, analyze sourcing effectiveness, and suggest improvements to hiring strategies.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience through professional and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Handle candidate data in compliance with GDPR and internal data privacy policies.
Candidate Requirements
- At least three years of experience in a recruitment role, ideally within technical, engineering, or specialized fields.
- Experience managing recruitment activities and candidate pipelines using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Proven success in recruiting for technical or niche roles, with strong sourcing skills for passive candidates.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines simultaneously.
- Good understanding of GDPR regulations and proper handling of candidate data.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to working with teams and stakeholders.

Location and Working Pattern
This position is based at the company’s office in Osney Mead, Oxford. There may be flexibility to work remotely, subject to agreement with your line manager. Occasional business travel could also be part of the role.
