As an Undergraduate Aerospace Integration Engineer at BAE Systems, you will play a vital role in the integration of aerospace systems, ensuring that all components work together effectively to deliver advanced capabilities. This position is based in Prestwick, Ayrshire, and is part of a 12-month placement starting in June 2027.

Role Overview

Integration Engineers adopt a comprehensive, full lifecycle approach to ensure that component systems are effectively integrated to meet product requirements. Your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating engineering activities, engaging with customers to understand their needs, and translating these into clear engineering requirements. You will also be involved in platform-level engineering activities, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers to achieve successful outcomes.

Core Duties

• Utilize your engineering expertise to solve problems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage projects holistically while deepening your technical understanding of the products.
• Collaborate with your team and the wider organization to develop advanced engineering solutions that support decision-making for capability optimization, interoperability, and risk reduction.
• Engage in early lifecycle projects for Future Combat Air System (FCAS), support Eurofighter Typhoon enhancements, or innovate within FalconWorks.
• Apply systems engineering techniques to define and develop a complete product architecture.
