Role Overview

The position involves supporting various activities within the BAE Systems Land UK business, focusing on the development of new energetic materials and processes. You will work closely with the Engineering and Technology teams to ensure that products meet stringent quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering and Technology Teams in the development of new energetic materials and processes.
• Provide support to subject matter experts in energetic materials by offering advice and assistance.
• Conduct practical assessments of energetic materials in laboratory or engineering settings.
• Prepare safety documentation, including risk assessments and COSHH evaluations.

Team Context

The Land Team is responsible for equipping the British Armed Forces and international customers with a diverse range of munitions products, including small arms ammunition, heavy artillery, tank ammunition, warheads, and payloads, with projects such as the Challenger 3 Battle Tank.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must be on track to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in Chemistry, Physics, or Chemical Engineering.
