Role Overview

As part of the Finance team, you will engage in various activities including Financial Planning & Analysis, Project Finance, and Financial Controls & Systems. You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting cost management, budgeting, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. Additionally, you will have the chance to shadow senior team members, gaining insights into financial governance and leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insights to stakeholders.
• Support month-end activities, reconciliations, and financial controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across teams, clearly communicating financial information.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by leveraging technology and data to enhance efficiency.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for this placement, candidates must be on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Physics.

Placement Details

The placement will commence on June 21, 2027, and will last for 12 months, with a competitive salary of £25,900. The role requires attendance at the Preston site 3-4 days per week, with hybrid working arrangements available.
