This position offers an exciting opportunity to join BAE Systems as an Undergraduate in Information Management and Technology. The role is based at our Warton/Samlesbury location in Lancashire and is part of a 12-month placement starting in June 2027.

Role Overview

The Undergraduate will support the delivery of IM&T projects that provide valuable capabilities to the business and its customers. This role involves developing data-driven solutions to enhance performance and decision-making, while also maintaining and improving the systems that underpin our innovative products.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing IM&T projects that deliver capabilities to the business and its customers.
• Develop data-driven solutions to enhance business understanding and improve performance.
• Maintain and enhance design, business, and manufacturing systems that support the development of innovative products.
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand and shape their IT system requirements.
• Engage in a variety of complex activities, investigating and resolving intricate issues.
• Contribute to various IT processes, services, and projects.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor work to ensure objectives, timelines, quality standards, and business requirements are met.

Team Context

The Air Team at BAE Systems has a proud heritage in the development, manufacture, upgrade, and support of world-leading combat and fast jet trainer aircraft. We operate globally, supporting the design, production, and provision of aircraft such as the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must be on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in any subject.
