Undergraduate Maintenance Overview

As an Undergraduate in Maintenance at BAE Systems, you will engage in a 12-month placement starting in June 2027, located at Warton/Samlesbury in Lancashire. This role is designed for students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, and you will be expected to work on-site three days a week while enjoying a competitive salary of £25,900.

Your primary responsibilities will include working within a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation to ensure the safety of aircraft platforms. You will attend customer locations, interact with maintenance organizations, and gain experience in various disciplines such as Fleet Management and Maintenance Planning. Key duties involve compiling aircraft status reports, monitoring performance, developing maintenance plans, and conducting performance studies.

To qualify for this role, you must be on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Additionally, you will need to meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, with potential requirements for higher levels of National Security Vetting based on your residency history in the UK.
