As an Undergraduate Manufacturing Engineer at BAE Systems, you will play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing of various products throughout their lifecycles. This position is based in Rochester, Kent, and is part of the Graduate, Placement, and Summer Internship Programme, with a placement duration of 12 months starting in June 2027.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the creation of departmental documentation, such as planning documents and training materials.
• Providing daily support to manufacturing cells and focusing on continuous improvements in layouts and processes.
• Collaborating with technical departments to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Utilizing structured problem-solving techniques to address manufacturing issues.
• Understanding and applying quality-first principles and tools, including auditing and managing non-conformance.
• Developing skills in tooling design, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and CAD software (AutoCAD, CREO).
• Managing the operation of the 3D printing facility.

To qualify for this role, you must be on track to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelorâ??s degree or a pass at Masterâ??s level in relevant fields such as Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or Product Design.
